Co-owners
Video walkthrough: Watch on Loom (link coming soon)
Co-owners lets you share full access to a specific dog’s record with another breeder. They get to see and edit everything for that dog — pedigree, health, breeding notes, photos — but only for the dogs you invite them on. It’s built for joint breeding partnerships where two kennels share a sire, a dam, or another co-owned dog.
What You Can Do Here
- Invite another breeder by email to co-own a specific dog
- See pending invitations you’ve sent or received
- Accept or decline invitations from other breeders
- Manage which of your dogs are co-owned and with whom
- Revoke a pending invitation before it’s accepted
How It Works
Inviting a Co-owner
You can start an invitation from two places: From a dog’s profile:- Open the dog you want to share.
- Click Invite Co-owner.
- Enter the other breeder’s email and (optionally) their kennel name.
- Send the invite.
- Go to Co-owners in the left menu (or Settings → Team → Co-owners).
- Click Share a dog.
- Choose the dog, enter the other breeder’s email and kennel, and send.
Accepting an Invitation
When another breeder invites you:- Open Co-owners in your account.
- You’ll see pending invitations in the Received section.
- Click Accept to add the dog to your shared list, or Decline to pass.
Managing Co-ownership
The Co-owners page lists every dog you co-own, in either direction. From here you can see who owns what and the current status of each invitation.Revoking a Pending Invite
If you’ve sent an invite and want to cancel it before it’s accepted, click the trash icon next to the pending invitation and confirm.Key Terms
