Products
Video walkthrough: Watch on Loom (link coming soon)
Products is your reusable item catalog for invoicing. Instead of typing the same line items every time you create an invoice (puppy purchase, deposit, training session, etc.), you save them as products and add them to invoices in one click.
What You Can Do Here
- Create reusable products with a name, description, and set price
- Add products to any invoice as line items
- Set a default tax behavior per product (tax added, tax included, or unspecified)
- Archive products you no longer use without losing billing history
- Manage products in multiple currencies if needed
How It Works
Creating a Product
- Go to Products in the left menu.
- Click Add Product.
- Enter the product name, description, price, and currency.
- Set the tax behavior if applicable.
- Save — the product is now available to use on any invoice.
Using a Product on an Invoice
When creating or editing an invoice, you can select from your saved products to add as line items. The name, description, and price populate automatically — you can still adjust the amount per invoice if needed.Archiving a Product
If you stop offering something, archive it rather than deleting it. Archived products no longer appear in the product picker but their historical invoices remain intact.Key Terms
| Term | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Tax Exclusive | Tax is added on top of the listed price |
| Tax Inclusive | Tax is already included in the listed price |
| Archived | A product hidden from active use but preserved in billing history |
