Calendar is your central view of everything happening in your program — vet appointments, breeding dates, puppy pick-ups, socialization milestones, and any other events you schedule. It pulls together events from all your dogs and litters into one place.

• View all your upcoming events in a monthly or list format
• Add new events directly from the calendar
• See dog birthdays automatically without manual entry
• Mark events as complete when they’re done
• Sync your BreederBuddy calendar to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or any app that supports iCal
• Recurring and timed events are supported

How It Works

Adding an Event

1. Go to Calendar in the left menu.
2. Click on a date or click Add Event.
3. Fill in the event name, date, time (optional), and any notes.
4. Optionally link the event to a specific dog or litter.
5. Save — the event appears on the calendar.

Completing an Event

When an event is done, mark it complete:

1. Click the event on the calendar.
2. Select Mark Complete.
3. The event is logged as completed and moves out of your active view.

Syncing to an External Calendar

BreederBuddy can sync your events to any calendar app that supports iCal (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.):

1. Click Sync Calendar on the Calendar page.
2. Copy the iCal link provided.
3. Add it to your calendar app as a subscribed calendar.

Events from BreederBuddy will automatically appear and stay updated in your external calendar.

Dog Birthdays

BreederBuddy automatically adds dog birthdays to your calendar based on each dog’s date of birth. You can toggle this on or off from the Calendar page.

Tips & Common Questions

Can I see events for a specific dog or litter?

Yes — events tied to a dog or litter also appear on their individual profile pages under the Events tab.

Do events from Care Schedules show up here?

Yes — when you apply a care schedule to a litter, all the tasks appear as events on both the litter’s Events tab and the main Calendar.

Can I set reminders?

Events show up on your calendar by date. For external notifications, sync your calendar to an app like Google Calendar which can send you reminders.
